The Payment Officer will be responsible for processing, verifying, and monitoring financial transactions to ensure accurate and timely payments for the organization. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of payment processing systems. The Payment Officer will work closely with the finance and accounts teams to manage daily payment operations, resolve issues, and maintain up-to-date records.
Responsibilities:

Reconciliation Procedures: Perform reconciliation of accounts, ensuring the accurate recording and alignment of the company’s financial transactions.

Payment Processing: Execute the payment process, ensuring that all transactions related to the company’s finances are processed on time and accurately.

Reporting: Prepare and maintain various financial reports, providing detailed insights into the company's financial status and transaction history.

Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for all payment and reconciliation activities, supporting internal reviews and audits.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members and external partners (e.g., banks, and payment service providers) to resolve issues and ensure seamless financial operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience with banks and payment systems, particularly in high-volume transaction environments, is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of banking systems and payment methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting tools.
- English proficiency with excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
