Patient Scheduling Representative

Chest Medicine Associates is seeking multiple Patient Scheduling Representatives, to be based in the South Portland office.
Requirements of the Patient Scheduling Representative:
- High school diploma. Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous medical experience in an office-based setting required.
- Understanding of medical terminology is required.
- Experience with referrals processing preferred.
- Experience using electronic medical records and proficient computer skills are required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Reliable, motivated, team player.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in South Portland, Maine.

Responsibilities of the Patient Scheduling Representative:
- Responsible for check-out, appointment scheduling, answering phones in the scheduling queue and other responsibilities as needed.
- Responsible for coordinating outside referrals to other facilities.
- Acquire knowledge of inter-office responsibilities to better serve the patient.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Presents a polite, professional, and courteous manner to the patients at all times and be willing to meet the patient’s needs.
- Participate in compliance of OSHA/HIPPA/OIG regulations.
