Our Story
Complex conditions like COPD and congestive heart failure (CHF) are incredibly challenging to manage. People who are already struggling with isolation and the burden of these conditions become increasingly frustrated and disengaged, eventually falling through the cracks and landing in the ER. This cycle perpetuates poor health outcomes and excessive medical costs.
At NuvoAir we believe people deserve a better healthcare experience.
Our team embraces the challenges that others can’t or won’t - by integrating our clinical team with technology, NuvoAir creates a highly empathetic and personalized experience for each patient. This model not only helps patients in their homes, it also supports patients through our clinical trial partners.

Where you’ll see your impact:
The Patient Enrollment Coordinator (PEC) assumes a vital role in guaranteeing that our patients receive the necessary information while enrolling for NuvoAir services. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities related to patient care, such as outreaching patients interested in NuvoAir services, addressing phone inquiries, enrolling patients into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and/or clinical service, helping manage scheduling, delivering exceptional customer service, verifying insurance details, and collaborating closely with the clinical team to provide relevant patient information.
What you’ll be responsible for:
High Call Volume Management (80% of the time): This position primarily involves being actively engaged in phone communication. The ideal candidate should be comfortable spending approximately 80% of their workday on calls, reaching out to referred patients, discussing the benefits of NuvoAir’s care model, explaining insurance coverage and payment options, and scheduling first appointments for new members.
Engaging with Elderly Patients: Our patients often belong to the older demographic. The role demands an individual who is not only patient and empathetic but also possesses the ability to connect with older individuals in a respectful and caring manner.
Proactive Outreach and Relationship Building: You will be responsible for cold calling individuals following a referral. This task requires a warm, extroverted personality, with the ability to initiate conversations and build rapport quickly and effectively. The candidate should be skilled at making others feel at ease, even in a first-time interaction.
This may be a fit if you have:
•2 plus years working with patients on insurance verification
•Excellent task and time management skills, enabling efficient handling of responsibilities.
•Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare setting, will be highly advantageous.
•Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and scheduling systems, demonstrating a good understanding of healthcare technology.
•Strong customer service and communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with patients and team members.
•Keen attention to detail, enabling accurate work completion even in a fast-paced environment.
•Proficient in using computer software applications, including Google Workplace

We also need to grow a team that aligns with our company values (listed above!) and who will be successful in startup life… it’s not for everyone and that’s okay!
