Passive Component Design Engineer

Component Strategy Development
- Conduct market research on passive components, including packaging, specifications, and technological advancements.
- Analyze the current and future product requirements of the automotive and networking industries.
- Formulate recommendations for component selection based on market and industry trends.
- Lead the initiative to develop and implement new components that align with localization manufacturing goals.
- Collaborate with procurement to devise a strategic sourcing plan that prioritizes localization components.
- Regularly update and refine the preferred components list, ensuring it reflects the latest industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews, ensuring that component selection meets localization production requirements.
- Provide guidance to development projects on the selection of optimal components, including during product changes, new technology introductions, and in response to market allocations or disruptions.

 

 Component Lifecycle Management
- Evaluate the usage of passive components across all stages, from quotation to series production.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on component usage and performance data.
- Identify and implement systematic improvements to component selection and usage.
- Encourage and assist projects in incorporating higher-quality localization components.
- Oversee component-related redesigns to streamline processes and optimize responses to product change notifications, technology notifications, market allocations, and disruptions.
- Manage public relations activities, including maintaining the Component Management homepage, delivering presentations, and promoting information related to component management.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of work experience in the automotive industry or embedded system development.
- Proficiency in electronic engineering development and processes.
- Experience with electronic engineering tools such as PSpice, Mathcad, Zuken, WISE and MS Office
- A proactive, self-motivated, and well-organized team player.
- Strong communication and intercultural skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- The ability to work effectively in an international and interdisciplinary setting.

- A strong understanding of the localization component manufacturing landscape.
- Knowledge of localization supply chain management and the ability to navigate localization market dynamics.
- Experience in promoting the adoption of localization components within a global context.
- A commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and quality within the component selection process.
- The ability to adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory environments that impact localization component production.
