As a Business Development Representative specializing in Partnerships, you will be instrumental in expanding our company's reach and fostering relationships with larger brands to drive growth and brand awareness. You will play a pivotal role in identifying strategic marketing and product partnership opportunities and establishing mutually beneficial relationships that align with our company's goals and values. You will be reporting directly to the CEO in the short-term to come up with a partnership strategy while working closely with the Head of Marketing, Product, and Engineering. 

Partnerships development

  • Research and identify potential partnership opportunities with larger brands that complement our products or services.
  • Initiate contact and establish rapport with key decision-makers at target companies.
  • Develop compelling proposals and negotiate partnership agreements that benefit both parties.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and fulfillment of partnership commitments.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders and CEO.

Market research and analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify untapped markets, niches, and potential partnership prospects.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimize performance, and maximize ROI.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product, and other relevant teams to align partnership initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Provide support and guidance to internal teams regarding partnership and influencer-related activities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and buy-in for partnership and influencer strategies.

Must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships in a tech startup B2B or B2C environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Hunter mentality.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Cash compensation will consist of a base salary and yearly performance bonus.

Canada Base Salary range:
$100k - $130k CAD

US Base Salary range:
$90k - $120k USD
