About the Role:
AngelList is rapidly scaling its software go-to-market organization in support of its industry-first ERP software for private fund managers. We are looking for a business development leader to establish relationships and drive adoption with fund administrators. You will report directly to the Head of Sales and work broadly across functions within the AngelList organization to support its growth strategies.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships that will expand our client base among fund administrators, particularly in private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investment firms. This position requires a deep understanding of the alternative investments landscape, coupled with the ability to forge relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
You will:

Strategic Partner Development: Identify and engage with potential fund administrator partners, understanding their specific needs and offering tailored solutions from AngelList’s suite of software products.

Partnership Strategy Execution: Create and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy that aligns with both short-term and long-term business objectives, specifically targeting growth and adoption with Middle and Upper Market GPs.

Pipeline Growth: Increase the pipeline of net-new customers by leveraging partnerships with fund administrators, driving adoption of our platform and expansion of our client base.

Value Communication: Articulate the unique value proposition of AngelList’s fund administration solutions to potential partners, ensuring they understand how our products can enhance their service offerings.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with fund administrators and other key stakeholders in the alternative investments ecosystem, positioning AngelList as a trusted partner.
How Success will be Measured in this Role:

Revenue Impact: ability to drive revenue growth and new client acquisition through both referrals and direct sales.

Partner Activation: strengthening and streamlining of partner engagement models.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience: 7+ years in business development or partnerships roles, with a strong focus on relevant industry experience.

Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving new business through strategic partnerships.

Industry Network: Established network among fund administrators, private equity, and hedge fund professionals.

Motivation: Highly competitive and driven to meet and exceed ambitious growth targets.

AngelList has offices in two hub cities: San Francisco and New York City that you can choose to work from. We’re focused on hiring within these hubs and people hired from these hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week.
