As a Partner in our Financial Services Risk Advisory practice, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients within the Banking and Capital Markets industry. You will leverage your extensive experience in risk, regulatory compliance, and treasury operations to provide strategic advisory services. This role covers a wide range of risk and regulatory concerns, including enhanced prudential standards, liquidity and capital risk, and the business planning impacts of evolving regulations.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with target client and key regulatory bodies, leading business development efforts, and driving transformation initiatives in regulatory reporting and risk management. This is a Partner-level role focused on delivering results, guiding teams, and contributing to the firm's growth.

What You'll Do:

Client Delivery:

  • Lead risk management, regulatory advisory, and treasury transformation initiatives for clients in the Banking and Capital Markets industry.
  • Advise on compliance with enhanced prudential standards, resolution/recovery planning, and Basel Accords.
  • Provide strategic guidance on regulatory changes and the business impacts of evolving requirements.
  • Assist clients in designing and implementing systems for stress testing, regulatory reporting, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and other risk-related areas.
  • Improve regulatory processes and controls, utilizing optimization and automation where applicable.
  • Advise on the integration and transformation of regulatory reporting systems and processes, including reporting to regulatory bodies such as the FRB, FDIC, OCC, SEC, FINRA, etc.

Regulatory Expertise:

  • Provide expert knowledge on regulatory metrics and reports, including:
  • o   FDIC Call/FR Y-9C/FR Y-9LP
  • o   FR Y-14A, FR Y-M, FR Y-Q
  • o   2052A/FINRA Weekly Liquidity Reporting
  • o   LCR/NSFR, Risk-Based Capital, and Leverage Ratios
  • Lead remediation of regulatory risk matters related to liquidity, interest rate, credit, and operational risks.

Leadership and Business Development:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables and satisfaction.
  • Drive business development activities, leveraging existing industry relationships to generate new client opportunities.
  • Act as a thought leader, presenting at industry panels, developing case studies, and providing insights into emerging trends.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, cultivating a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
  • Lead practice development initiatives, including sales and solution development, in areas such as: Regulatory reporting transformation (Federal Reserve, FDIC, FINRA), Capital markets and trading operations, Financial and operational risk platform design, Operating model assessment and design.

What You'll Bring:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, with 5-10 years as a Professional Services Partner in the Banking and Capital Markets industry.
  • Expertise in corporate treasury operations, including systems, risk management, and treasury processes.
  • Established relationships with regulatory bodies (e.g., FRB, FDIC, OCC, SEC, FINRA).
  • Proven experience in regulatory reporting and understanding of technology solutions for risk and regulatory management (e.g., stress testing, liquidity risk reporting, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of commercial and retail banking products such as loans, derivatives, fixed income securities, and repo markets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk-based capital ratios.
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements, drive transformation initiatives, and contribute to business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related technical discipline.
  • CPA, CISA, CFE, PMP, or relevant certifications.

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $275,000 - $450,000 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
