As our Principal, Partner Business Development, you will be at the forefront of strategic leadership, engaging with senior-level stakeholders within and outside the company to redefine the landscape of our key marketing partnerships. With your deep market understanding and financial acumen, you'll spearhead initiatives that drive revenue, increase brand awareness, and solidify our position as a leader in the real estate industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for building commercial partnerships that span across various sectors, working to extend these partnerships to enhance Realtor.com's presence and impact. You will lead the strategy and execution of partner marketing initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and revenue generation, and driving business results that benefit both Realtor.com and our partners.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute our partner marketing strategy, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Expand existing relationships and identify new growth and revenue generation opportunities with our largest partners.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new partners, launching innovative programs that drive mutual business results.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop products and services for more valuable partner integrations.
  • Utilize a partnership evaluation framework to prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit and potential.
  • Negotiate and close high-value partnership deals, coordinating across multiple internal teams.
  • Establish KPIs for partnership success, leveraging insights for strategy adjustments.
  • Ensure partner activities align with our overall marketing strategy and contribute to brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Report to executive management on progress and strategic insights.

What you’ll bring:

  • 12-15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; MBA is preferred.
  • Exceptional strategic leadership and vision, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Extensive experience in building partnerships/business development, preferably with e-commerce or similar digital-first companies.
  • Executive-level communication skills and presence, capable of engaging and influencing senior executives both internally and externally.
  • Strong financial acumen, capable of developing and managing significant budgets and financial models related to partnerships and investments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team environments, driving integrated partnership projects to completion.
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of partnership agreements.
  • Solid analytical capabilities to assess partnership performance and market opportunities.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and a basic understanding of the real estate industry's challenges and opportunities.
  • Excellent project management skills and adaptability to rapidly changing market conditions.

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect in the listed locations. We tailor our offers based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.  All ranges are location based, ranges for positions in other locations may vary based on the local market.

Salary Range for select office locations 

  • New York $210,300 to $299,700

Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target typically expressed as percentage of salary.  Similarly to salary, annual incentive bonus targets are set based on a variety of factors including job level, competitive market practice, experience, tenure, and essential skills.
