Part time Veterinarian - Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital

Pascoe Vale, Australia
Part-Time

Join Our Passionate Team at Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital!

Are you a dedicated vet looking for a supportive and collaborative team to grow with? Do you want to work in a positive, fun, and committed environment that values both your professional development and work-life balance? If so, we’d love to meet you!

We’re looking for a part-time vet (2 days a week + 1 in 3 Saturdays) to join our experienced team at Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital.

Why work with us?

o A collaborative team: Our team of 3 experienced vets is always ready to collaborate, share knowledge, and work through cases together. We value teamwork and a learning culture.

o Work-Life balance: We believe in keeping things manageable—appointments are scheduled with care (20 minutes for vaccinations, 30 minutes for more complex cases), ensuring you have time to provide the best care without feeling rushed. We also provide an extra hour for client follow up calls - this is separate to your 30minute lunch break.

o A supportive environment: We foster a positive, inclusive culture where our team supports one another. With very low staff turnover, you’ll be joining a place where people love working and stay for the long haul (including some of our receptionists and practice manager who’ve been with us for over 20 years!).

Fantastic Benefits:

o    Generous CPD allowance
o    Pet care discounts for your own animals
o    Access to the Fitness Passport for gym memberships
o    Wellbeing tools and health memberships to support your mental and physical health
o    Employee Assistance Program for additional support
o    Plus, study leave and leadership training to help you advance in your career!
o    Growth and Development: We believe in continuous learning! You’ll have access to workshops at the Veterinary Training Centre with VetPartners in areas such as surgery, ophthalmology, and behaviour, and this training doesn't take from your study leave. We also offer leadership and business management training to help you take the next step in your career.
o     State-of-the-Art Facilities: We’re equipped with all the latest tools you need to practice exceptional care, including dental radiographs, ultrasound, and electrocautery. Our clinic is spacious and purpose-built with 1 theatre, 3 consulting rooms, and large prep and dental areas.

What else do we offer:

o     Flexible hours: 16-20 hour working week, with 1:3 Saturday shifts (8am-1pm) and no Sunday or public holiday work.
o     Competitive salary: Wages that reflects your experience and commitment.
o     An Interesting caseload: From routine check-ups to complex medicine cases and surgeries, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself and grow.
o     A team that cares: Our team is our greatest asset, and we’re proud of the supportive, friendly atmosphere we’ve built. We encourage a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

About you:

o    You hold a BVSc or equivalent and are fully registered to practice in Australia.
o     You’re passionate about high-quality patient care and enjoy building strong relationships with clients.
o     You thrive in a team-oriented environment and love learning and collaborating with others.
o    You bring a positive attitude and enjoy engaging with clients, advocating for their pets and providing excellent customer experiences.
