Position Summary 

The Paralegal will support the General Counsel with management of legal operations, contracts, company-wide projects, the intellectual property portfolio, corporate compliance, and legal research. 

This full time position is required to work on-site at AccuWeather's State College Headquarters Monday-Friday.  

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Engage and communicate with Executive Leadership and other stakeholders across the company.
  • Manage all aspects of legal operations
  • Manage contract processes, policies and procedures
  • Prepare contracts and other legal documents
  • Project management of assigned tasks, cases, or projects and collaborating with various teams.
  • Support Intellectual Property (IP) management, including managing dockets, filings and providers relating to the company’s global portfolio of trademarks, domains and patents.
  • Creation of company templates, policies, guides, and procedures.
  • Assist with managing corporate entities, corporate filings, board meetings of the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Assist company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources.
  • Provide written analysis or summaries of research to attorneys.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field with a paralegal certificate.
  • Excellent Project management skills.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment with integrity.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Adaptability to continuous learning and a rapidly changing environment associated with a dynamic industry.
