The Paid Search Manager is part of Medthink’s Insights and Connections team, supporting both MedThink SciCom and MedThink Communications. We are looking for a talented and experienced Paid Search Manager to join our growing team. The right person for this role will own paid search strategies that support our client’s brand strategy and business goals. You will manage all aspects of paid search strategy, activation, optimization, and reporting for a portfolio of clients in the pharmaceutical and health & wellness industry. Your key responsibility will be elevating the impact of paid search campaigns within the spectrum of our clients’ omnichannel media strategies. Your day-to-day will involve deep collaboration with not only our clients, but also within the fabric of our agency—partnering closely with the extended media team, the digital analytics team, and other cross-functional departments to define strategies and enhance outcomes. You will be instrumental in crafting a cohesive narrative across platforms, ensuring our paid search campaigns resonate, perform, and keep up with the dynamic, ever-evolving digital landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategy and Management: Strategy development and tactical rollout of paid search, shopping ads and YouTube ad campaigns. Perform competitive audits, keyword research, keyword mapping, and develop ad copy for assigned clients that align with overarching brand goals and strategies
- Client and Team Leadership: Contribute to client strategy discussions and lead reporting presentations as the paid search subject matter expert, showcasing a deep understanding of the campaign, market, and role of paid search in achieving brand objectives
- Foster and manage vendor relationships
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with digital and analytics teams to develop KPIs and measurement plans, ensuring strategies are data-informed and results-driven. Collaborate with media and strategy teams to ensure campaigns align with omnichannel and brand objective
- Identify key site actions and work with digital strategy & analytics to implement performance tags as needed
- Data-Driven Reporting and Optimization: Frequent and thoughtful monitoring of campaign performance to identify testing and optimization opportunities based on spend, engagement rates, and pacing to campaign goals. Synthesize campaign activity into actionable reporting insights that tells holistic story across all channels
- Industry Engagement and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the search marketplace through research and/or industry events and conferences to contribute to thought leadership and agency points-of-view for internal and external distribution
- Oversee campaign performance, working media budgets, and optimizations in a hands-on manner
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in managing Paid Search accounts.
- Strong business and leadership skills to make independent decisions affecting campaign management
- Experience with mentoring, managing, and team development preferred
- Ability to make data-driven recommendations based on statistically significant data sets
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to thoroughly and effectively QA campaigns, budget workbooks, and other client deliverables
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables), and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Web Analytics software, such as Google Analytics Pharmaceutical experience is required
- Google Ads, Bing Ads, Search Ads 360, Shopping Ads certifications are a plus
- Organic SEO experience is a plus
