About You

Directors of Paid Media are ultimately responsible for building and managing high-performing, efficient and effective paid media teams to best service their clients. Their top priorities are strong client growth/retention and employee growth/retention. 

The Director of Paid Media should be able to lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated services for their clients based on DEPT’s best practices. They are effective communicators who can inspire and motivate teams to achieve and exceed client goals based on their deep understanding of the ins and outs of their clients’ businesses (not just digital). Directors proactively bring innovative strategy, holistic ideas, and leadership to help clients meet their overarching business goals.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and oversee the execution of comprehensive paid media strategies across multiple channels, including search, social, display, and video, to achieve client objectives and drive business growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of paid media associates, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, analytics, and account management, to ensure cohesive and integrated media campaigns.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization, ensuring maximum ROI and alignment with client goals.
  • Manage and allocate media budgets effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in paid media to maintain a competitive edge and drive innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring satisfaction with media strategies and outcomes
  • Identify and evaluate new media opportunities and platforms to expand reach and enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Serving as a point of escalation for all clients within your portfolio - understanding when to step-in with a client, coach the team on any processes/next steps to mitigate issues, determine what ancillary services/teams should be pulled in, or navigate solutions with legal/finance, etc.
  • Successfully scaling layers of management and ensuring career pathing/goals are being established for every member of your team. 
  • Identifying succession plans for your team and cultivating talent development for upward mobility.

You’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 8 years paid media experience and a minimum 3 years of experience in a client-facing marketing role
  • Paid Search, Paid Social & Programmatic advertising experience required
  • Proven prior work experience managing a team of 3+ direct reports / team members and demonstrated ability to mentor and develop direct reports into more senior roles
  • The ability to audit an account and present actionable insights to a client
  • The ability to provide feedback and strategic guidance to all paid media channels (search, social, shopping, display, mobile, native and video)
  • To hold your own talking growth strategy, SEO, CRO, analytics and measurement with marketing managers and C-Level executives alike
  • Experience acting as an escalation point for clients, evaluating team services levels and proposing improvements

Additional things that will impress us: 

  • The ability to identify upsell opportunities across all agency offerings and execute on those opportunities to grow revenue on existing clients
  • You are skilled at effectively communicating/teaching optimization tasks to multiple team members at once and have past experience managing managers
  • Successful track record of crafting and participating in sales pitches and audits
  • Proven prior work experience managing a P&L and hitting margin targets

TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:

  • You will have to communicate with your team members abroad, therefore fluency in English and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must for this role
  • This opening requires you to be open to work approximately 2-3 times a week from one of our offices located in Villa Crespo
