Our Business Advisory team in Rotorua are looking for an experienced administrator to provide administrative support to our Māori Trusts and their stakeholders.

In Rotorua our Hourua Pae Rau team is dedicated to partnering with Māori Iwi, Māori Trusts, government, and businesses wishing to align their work with and for the benefit of Māori. Hourua Pae Rau represents the largest Māori professional services team in Aotearoa and work with over 300 Māori Trusts and Iwi entities.
As our Owner Services Consultant you will ensure the integrity of the share register to ensure a high level of service is delivered to both our client trusts and their shareholders/beneficiaries, including:
Your typical day will include:
· Updating shareholder addresses and other information
· Loading successions
· Researching and responding to shareholder enquiries, and enquiries from the Maori Land Court and other external parties
· Assisting shareholders with their enquiries on shareholdings, successions, payments etc.
· Processing dividend and grants payments
· Filing of shareholder records
· Ensuring panui for AGMs and other mailouts are distributed accurately within agreed statutory timeframes.
· Maintain the Grants database module, load application information and extract reports and process payments to recipients of grants or dividends.
· Education Grants. Liaise with the website manager on online applications and applicant’s queries receive and process applications and prepare schedules and reports and payments.
· Research the share register database to locate owners without addresses. And initiate identification processes
· Working with Team leader to ensure smooth delivery of front office and supporting office functions.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
· Knowledge and understanding of Tikanga Maori
· Strong communication skills and excellent customer service skills
· Knowledge and understanding of Maori Land Trust administration would be advantageous.
· Research and database management experience
· Excellent skills across the MS office suite
· Initiative, ability to manage competing priorities and strong attention to detail are essential attributes for success in this role.
