The Philadelphia Phillies are committed to supporting the ongoing education and development of both our players and coaches. Our Education Department plays a key role in supporting Minor League players and coaches, helping them excel both professionally and personally through language education, secondary education, life skills, and continued education. Recognizing that approximately 30% or more of our players are Spanish-speaking, the Phillies take great pride in offering a world-class Life Skills and Education (LSE) program. In collaboration with the Manager of Life Skills and Education as well as the Lead Teachers, the intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in a sports-focused educational environment, making a meaningful impact on the personal and professional growth of our athletes. The right person for this position will be excited and willing to work non-traditional hours. During baseball season our players play six days a week and classes and life skills activities often take place during off field hours. Additionally, there will be opportunities to travel to the Dominican Republic, contributing to the alignment and development of LSE programming.
You will be required to answer the following question along with the submission of your application:
Why would you be a great fit for this role? (300 word limit)
The Phillies are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and are committed to growing a workforce diverse in perspective and background. We proudly strive to build a group of employees who represent the fans and communities we currently, and aim to serve.
