Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant with Role Based Security Experience

Version 1 seeks an experienced Oracle Cloud Financials Functional consultant with good experience in administering role-based security access.  The successful candidate will join our Bangalore based Oracle Cloud Functional Support team, forming part of Version 1’s ERP Practice. Candidate should be customer focused and process driven with great documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day application support for a variety of clients.
  • Strong understanding of the Financials business environment: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables, fixed assets, reporting and auditing
  • Good understanding of the Cloud Role-Based Access Security Model
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues relating to role-based access and to identify solutions using custom roles where applicable with consideration to licensing implications
  • Ability to resolve support issues and add value through delivering fixes and ongoing ways of improving current delivered functionality for the Oracle Fusion Finance module
  • Requirements gathering and documentation for business changes.
  • Work with technical consultants to deliver client requirements.
  • Liaise directly with clients to ensure all requests for change are properly designed, assessed, prioritized, and managed through to completion.
  • Assist with transitioning clients into support post Cloud implementation projects and from competitors.
  • Identifying persistent problems and work with key stakeholders to address the root causes.
  • Providing end user application and functionality training.
  • Support all aspects of Cloud Quarterly Releases from Impact Assessment through testing and defect support 
  • Creating test plans and coordinating testing with the different stakeholders.
  • Assist in defining and optimizing simple yet effective business processes and drive change within the organization through negotiation and consensus-building.
  • Help ensure that MS ERP initiatives follow the proper planning, scheduling and management processes.
  • Assist with risk management and change management on projects.

Essential:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an application support analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in Oracle implementations and/or upgrades
  • Experience of any or all: General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Payables, Payments, Receivables, Revenue Management, Advanced Collections, Bill Management, Budgetary Control, Cash Management, Tax, Expenses, Fixed Assets, Projects.
  • Good hands-on experience of managing the Cloud Role-Based Access Security Model
  • Must have good experience translating business requirements and design into functional solutions 
  • ITIL process Knowledge
  • Experienced user of defect tracking systems, including the extraction of key data for weekly reporting and KPI tracking.

 Desirable: 

  •  Experience in configuring and supporting Smart View reports
  • Experience working with other Oracle modules such as Procurement and EPM
  • Functional problem investigation skills.
  • Oracle Cloud Financials Certification
