Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Establish ownership of the manufacturing processes, manufacturing tools (all Optics toolsets and automated equipment) setting up structure to support manufacturing through AutoTech System Requests. Ownership of PM’s and documentation of tech level notes. Develop or assist in work instruction development and Operator Training.
- Overall process enhancements for the Optics department. This includes developing process improvements based on QP and audit finding data, reviewing daily processing issues identified by production, developing long term improvements, and owning all open issues for all released production.
- Owning all tooling qualifications to ensure smooth transition from NR (Development) to production. This includes data analysis from ITS, PICS, working with product engineering and technical staff to ensure all print dimensions are met before releasing to production, and owning open issues list for each NR (Development) product.
- Implementing product related updates that affect tooling/processes in Optics. This includes working with technicians and production to run product with updated features, analyzing ITS data, communicating run data to product engineering, and ensuring product updates can be smoothly transitioned into production.
- Determine critical process parameters that must be monitored to produce good quality products. Yield Dashboards or Yield Monitoring followed up with yield analysis to investigate from initial discovery until root cause through data and failure analysis. Work with Operations assisting line balancing and lean initiates.
- Utilizing analysis tool to extract, summarize, predict, correlate data, and perform regression analysis.
- Continuous improvement of processes working with Engineering on improvements and following through on the improvement driving it through the proper channel such as Tooling Engineer, Product and Process Engineering.
