Reporting to the sub-domain Operations leader, the Assistant Operations Manager forms part of the cross-functional leadership team of a squad within a SEEK Pass sub-domain, defining, building and delivering world-class products to add trust to employment related claims.
Alongside your co-leaders from Engineering and Product, you are collectively responsible for the overall roadmap, design, delivery and optimisation of an important trust related Job to be Done (JTBD).
While you have no direct reports, you will work closely with engineers, UX designers, operational staff & product people.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with co-leaders to produce the vision, roadmap and OKRs for the squad
- Leverage data and operational insights to identify optimisation opportunities and inform prioritisation and decision making
- Define operational and product requirements, and help facilitate collaboration sessions to design creative purpose-built solutions
- Manage the smooth operationalisation of new product features including planning, forecasting and monitoring operational impact, creating collateral and coordinating with stakeholders
- Build and successfully manage internal customer and stakeholder relationships
- Manage multiple priorities and initiatives, identifying trade-offs and communicating pro-actively.
- Experience as a lead within a team, with a proven ability to effectively influence and collaborate across multiple functions and teams
- Good high-level understanding of, or desire to learn, key technology concepts
- Strong level of comfort with ambiguity, driving progress through an agile test & learn mindset » Strong data-driven mindset, with experience defining key operational metrics and indicators, monitoring performance and identifying trends
- Exceptional judgement and decision-making skills, including an ability to prioritise the critical few things
- Possess a customer-focused mindset, with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
