The Role

As an Operations Support Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving business user engagement in the Cloud Data Platform (CDP) tools and Self-service capabilities. You will build, monitor, and support all business user issues, capabilities, and overall experience in the CDP. This will involve training and enablement, provisioning access, and demonstrating MAXIS capabilities. You will be measured through quantitative and qualitative metrics that represent business value. You will also mentor junior administration staff.

How you'll contribute

  • Serve as a Level 3 support data engineer for all production-related issues
  • Refresh reports and dashboard on an ad-hoc basis as well as on a timed schedule
  • Certified expert in AWS CDP tools including but not limited to Glue, Athena, Redshift, and Quicksight as well as tools like PowerBI, Dataiku, and Talend
  • Work very closely with the Business Partner Enablement team to share overall strategy and execution to drive more usage of CDP/MAXIS within each segment
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms for data pipelines
  • Optimize and improve existing data processes for enhanced efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and data models

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • With 1 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on AWS, Python, and Airflow
  • Some experience with AWS services, especially S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Redshift or other cloud capabilities
  • 1-year experience in Python programming (SPARK framework) for data processing and transformation. Intermediate certification required after 12 months
  • Understanding of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Academic experience with data modeling, schema design, and database optimization
