Operations Specialist, Courier Onboarding

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. We are growing rapidly and soon we are launching in North Macedonia! To get there, we must first assemble a team of motivated superheroes - we are now looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team!

As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for onboarding our new Courier Partners and making sure that they have everything needed in order to provide the best quality of service throughout all stages of delivery - from our restaurants to the customers. You will also be working with analytical tools to analyze the balance between customer orders and the number of couriers.

In our Operations team, no day is the same, so you need to be self-motivated, driven to succeed and have excellent interpersonal, and community building skills! Our operations run seven days a week and although this role is mainly a Monday to Friday job, sometimes it will require you to be available on the weekend or to travel to another city.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Onboard, retain and grow the number of happy Courier Partners on Wolt’s platform, to ensure a healthy and sustainable delivery operations
  • Handover gear to new and existing couriers
  • Physically receive gear, maintain optimal stock levels
  • Perform inventory counts, order courier gear
  • Control daily courier supply to ensure timely delivery of order
  • Check documents and other information that courier partner applicants submit and
  • reach out to them in case some information is missing or unclear
  • Create and improve processes to drive operational efficiency to allow the business
  • operations to scale efficiently.
  • Share development ideas within the Operations team to improve ongoing tasks
  • You are a people person, an excellent communicator and a big team motivator, as you will have daily contact with Courier Partners.
  • You are a fast learner and attentive to both small details and the bigger picture.
  • You have a can-do attitude and are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work in  fast-paced startup environment.
  • You have the ability to think analytically and use analytical tools, experience with tools such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
  • You are able to conceptualize, improve and implement ideas and improvements in close collaboration with a team.
  • Thorough and organized - you accomplish tasks with all ends tied and have great attention to detail.
  • You are fluent in Macedonian and English.
