SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:
Eurofins is currently applying new IT and its infrastructure strategy changes to face new security challenges across regions. A key aspect is related to the changes of its Information Systems in which the central and regional web-based Marketing & Offer applications are essentials. The main objective of this position is to support the IT Solutions Team for implementing practical changes and managing operation projects (routine and evolution).
POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
The candidate will be
- Part of the a team of 13 persons and be involved, in the environments, configuration, build, packaging, operating procedures and release activities in the realm of the S solutions portfolio.
- Be the operation partner of Development team and provide operation related services.
- Managing operation projects to avoid risks, ensure delivery quality and timeframe.
- Ensure the projects deliveries can be well integrated into release process.
- Involved in projects of transition to Eurofins operation teams.
- Joining an IT team in Romania and always in contact with teams in the other locations(as One Team in Belgium, India, Ireland and China).
- Involve in and contribute to operation evolution(definition and execution of process, guideline and best practices etc) to align with new challenges.
The Candidate is expected to:
- Manage operation projects together with other members and Eurofins Operations teams, ensure delivery and timeframe. Facilitate status meeting with Team Managers(PO, Development, PMO, AERO etc).
- Be involved in and contribute to the definition of process, guideline and best practices.
- Contribute to technical activities upon priorities defined by Team Manager.
- Contribute the the maintenance of System and Architectural documentation in the scope of theTeam
- Provide some project related periodical and/or emergency support (i.e. on-call service).
- Provide project related supports as Operation Partner to Application Scrum Teams
- Embrace more generally:
- high quality practices and processes in order to guarantee excellent state and smooth transitions for department's programs in all environments (development to production).
- high quality engineering and guidelines of the target solutions,
- agile practices and well-known modelisation practices such as UML
Specific assignments:
- In charge of planning projects, risks evaluation & prevention, closely follow up and track project status, execute the plan, ensure the delivery quality and timeframe.
- Build up relationship with Eurofins operation teams and facilitate smooth coordination and communication.
- Ensure projects can be well integrated with Release. Prevent conflict and impact to releases.
- Collaborate closely with Functional, Development and Testing team to ensure our platforms are suiting the needs, are monitored and benefit from permanent improvements.
- Ensure the required tasks and support will be aligned with Operation Guideline and Best practices.
- Work on configuration and procedures for the various steps of the platform lifecycle (provisioning, prerequisites, deployment/upgrade, monitoring and support).
- Create and maintain operational documentation that describes the situation and ensure that documentation of processes is aligned.
- Maintain up to date the Components library and CMDB describing each platform (development/ testing, QA/UAT, production etc.)
- Provide project related L3 support for deployment and configuration related issues. Ensure superior quality.
- Handle platform deployment and configuration automation if required.
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS :
- Ensure follow-up to Site Manager and Team Manager on a regular basis and as often as requested.
- Acquire rapidly a working knowledge of Eurofins systems, starting with , underlying concepts and models, as well as the processes and practices of the team.
- Deepen that knowledge on a continuous basis, guided by the most pressing needs of assigned functions.
- Develop appropriate working relationships with IT and non-IT target groups in Eurofins. Actively support reuse and sharing within the wider community.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
REQUIRED PROFILE :
Personal Skills :
- Very good communication and interpersonal relation skills in an international environment.
- Accurate in project and operation activities : cannot bear unaligned things if they are supposed to be similar, will take the time to review/reread its email. Do not forget punctuation when writing. Has clear structure in mind (for instance meaningful and structured titles and subtitles when writing a document etc.)
- Good Team player.
- Willing to explore new technologies, processes and functional areas.
- Open minded on the subject.
Initial Education Background :
Computing Science or relevant : Master’s degree preferred else good Bachelor’s degree.
Language skills and level expected :
English (Fluent) required
Type and duration of previous experience :
Ideally rich experiences a PM, IT Operation position in an international environment.
Required knowledge (about technkcal knowledge, it’s not a must as an expert but to be practical to lead and audit Project effciently.) :
- PMP certification is a plus.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
- Knoweldge/Experience of Scrum Methodolgoy is a plus
- Knoweldge/Experience of CMDB (Configuration Management Database), System architecture, platform blueprints, software configuration, Operations activities (procurement, installation, monitoring and support etc.) is a plus.
- Knoweldge/Experience of scripting (VTL, powershell, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge/Experience of Microsoft Azure Cloud is a plus.
- Knoweldge/Experience of SQL or even T-SQL is a plus.
- Knowledge/Experience of Octopus is a plus.
- Knowledge/Experience of Terraform is a plus
- Knoweldge/Experience of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS is a plus.
- Knoweldge/Experience of UML is a plus.
- Knoweldge/Experience of SOA and/or messaging middleware is a plus
