We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who is focused on customers and our people to drive forward our rapidly expanding business.
Responsibilities for our Operations Manager
Site & People Operations
- Overall responsibility for the Netherlands site operations reporting into the Head of European Operations
- Ensure all of our people are motivated and engaged to produce the best results for our clients
- Execute clear and well-executed daily processes, routines, and reporting to ensure we are well managed within our operations
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team, ensuring that all teams work to their maximum efficiency
- Promote and harness the Huboo culture, encouraging high performing employees through empowerment and coaching
- Make suggestions to improve ways of working from a people and process point of view
- Keep the customer at the centre of everything, adding value to the customer experience and ensure long term customer retention
- Be main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and constantly review H&S strategies.
- Implement and ensure a safety work environment for all the team.
- Ensure that all business global planning and strategies are implemented onsite.
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure resource is aligned to workload to ensure we deliver a consistent excellent service
- First point of escalation for customer service or operational issue resolution
- Ensure that accurate and timely communication is always flowing with clients and the business
- Create an environment where the highest performance standards are maintained, and immediate interventions are made to correct all mistakes
- Hands on and leads by example to get the daily work done
- Identify training requirements, showing “how to”, coaching, practical help, direction, and expertise to support to the hub managers in their area
- Coach, mentor, and act as a role model to Hub Supervisors to ensure optimum performance is achieved
Finance:
- Own and control PnL for the site
- Implement financial strategies pointed by the SMT
- Control of warehouse margin as main KPI
- Review on client’s performance and margin and advise on actions.
Requirements
We would love to hear from you for our Operations Manager if you fit the below criteria:
- Experience of leading a successful high performing logistics operation
- Excellent coaching skills developing members of staff
- The ability to plan effectively to create maximum efficiency
- Problem solving skills in the moment and for long term issues
- High energy and the ability to motivate a team to perform to the best of their abilities
- A customer centric individual that always understands the customers situation and puts actions in place to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do
- A people focused individual that ensures plans are in place to make the operation a great place to work
- Advanced level of English language is required - Native/advanced Dutch is a plus
- Excellent coaching skills developing members of staff
- Experience of peer-to-peer coaching is advantage
- 5 Years of experience in logistics or supply chain in fast paced environments.
