THE ROLE
As Operations Intern, you will be based in our workshop site in Almere managing all tasks concerning inventory control and workshop functioning. This involves tasks such as receiving, storing, and distributing materials, keeping precise inventory records, and maximizing the efficient use of workshop space. The preferred candidate should demonstrate robust organizational abilities to efficiently oversee and enhance workshop operations.
Learning Opportunities:
Inventory Control: You will work closely with the Procurement and Product & Engineering teams and gain hands-on experience in material inspection, handling, distribution and inventory auditing.
Storage and Workshop organization: You will develop your skills in Workshop layout design and organizing inventory based on demand patterns and safety requirements.
Safety and compliance: You will work closely with the Quality management team, giving you knowledge of OSHA standards, risk assessment, accident prevention strategies, and safety protocols.
Cross-departmental collaboration: In this internship, you will collaborate with multiple teams, gaining insight into effective communication, problem-solving, and working in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
Climate tech: this internship offers an opportunity to learn about the Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology we are building and how we improve product manufacturability.
* Internship duration- 3-6 months, full-time, 40 hrs a week.
* Start date- Nov/ Dec 2024
* This position does not meet the criteria for employer sponsorship, therefore we are unable to support work permit or residency applications.
YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY
Overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.
Coordinating with the OPS and the Product & Engineering team to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
Supporting the Quality management team to implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborating with the Product & Engineering team on the ground to optimize workshop layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
Communicating regularly with other departments to address inventory-related issues on time.
