A day in the life…
Wondering what a day in the life of an Ambulatory Surgical Center Director at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple Outpatient Surgery Centers, as well as assist in developing strategic vision for the market.
- Surgery center planning and development, financial performance, technical management, strategic planning and execution, process improvement, service excellence.
- Provide employees with the authority, accountability, training, coaching, and resources to achieve their full potential and successfully drive the company’s performance.
- P&L responsibility for the Surgery Centers including input into annual budget development and monthly income statement analysis.
- Work with surgical departments to ensure optimal utilization of resources and maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Be an integral member of the Operations leadership team.

Qualifications
- A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
- Solid understanding of surgery procedures, patient expectations, compliance requirements, and healthcare operations
- Exceptional process improvement skills
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including but not limited to customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Detailed understanding of budgets, strategic plan, and implementation planning
- A positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently and interdependently
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA, MHA, or other advanced degree preferred
- Active RN license required
- 5 – 10 years management experience in ASC operations or hospital outpatient surgery center
