The Role:
This role oversees the organization’s production of events, exhibitions, and congresses. Providing inspired leadership, collaborating with event and sales leaders and other departments, such as marketing, customer success and purchasing, to ensure the events meet or exceed clients’ or customers’ expectations. Make sure the event’s operations run smoothly and effectively. Oversees budgets. Ensure the company conducts its business safely and complies with safety and sustainability rules and regulations. Ensures the planning of the events contemplates the appropriate times and movements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation for various operational aspects such as feature construction, logistics, staff, etc.
Ensures operational processes and platforms, such as Show cycle timelines, Sphera, Fundamentals, etc.
Manage the necessary resources for the events, determining the required products, services, and suppliers.
Level of satisfaction of internal and external clients.
Develop, implement, and review operational procedures.
Supervises that the Sustainability (fundamentals) actions and requirements are executed in a timely manner in conjunction with the Operation Manager.
Supervises that the Health and Safety (EH&S) functions and requirements are executed in a timely manner according to the guidelines issued by local authorities and global team, all this in conjunction with the Operation Manager.
Prepare annual event budgets and forecasts. Liaise with the finance team to ensure compliance with event Budget.
Ensures direct reports competencies and capabilities development by identifying and determining training needs, providing them with training so that they keep sharp and at the forefront.
Anticipate and address any operational challenges or issues that may arise during the show, providing quick and effective solutions.
