- As a consultant within the DI team, you will work with our clients to define their digital strategy and execution roadmap, and design and implement differentiated digital solutions to help deliver measurable value.
Job Description:
- ZThe Operational Management Specialist will play a key role in driving operational excellence by establishing standardized processes, review cadences, and reporting mechanisms. This individual will focus on optimizing the Infrastructure Team’s operational efficiency, ensuring all metrics are defined, tracked, and reported, and supporting teams in documenting and streamlining their technologies and processes. Additionally, the role will oversee budget management and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of services and solutions.
- The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with experience in project management, operational reviews, vendor management, and process documentation.
- Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Establishing Project Review Cadence:
- Design, implement, and maintain a consistent project review cadence across all teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the appropriate frequency, agenda, and outcomes for project reviews.
- Ensure alignment across teams on project timelines, milestones, risks, and mitigations.
- 2. Setting Up Operational Reviews:
- Develop and implement operational review processes to track performance, resource allocation, and project health.
- Facilitate regular operational reviews, ensuring a focus on identifying bottlenecks, areas of improvement, and potential risks.
- Foster continuous improvement through action items and follow-ups from operational reviews.
- 3. Metric Definition and Reporting:
- Collaborate with teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for projects and operations.
- Ensure all relevant operational and project metrics are accurately tracked and reported on a regular basis.
- Design and implement dashboards or reports to monitor and communicate metrics to stakeholders.
- 4. Budget Management:
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for operational and project activities.
- Work closely with finance and project teams to track expenditures and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend adjustments to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Provide regular budget performance reports to senior management.
- 5. Documentation and Process Templates:
- Develop and provide templates and guidelines for teams to document their technologies, processes, and workflows.
- Ensure proper documentation of operational processes, system architectures, and project workflows.
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- 6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, department heads, and technology teams to ensure alignment on operational goals and project execution.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between different teams to promote transparency and operational efficiency.
- 7. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, resource allocation, and project delivery methods.
- Implement best practices in operational management and project execution.
- Propose and execute initiatives aimed at reducing inefficiencies and driving performance improvements.
- Qualifications:
- • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- • 3+ years of experience in operational management, project management, or a similar role.
- • Experience in budget management, financial tracking, and vendor management.
- • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean).
- • Proven track record of developing operational metrics and reporting systems.
- • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- • Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, or similar).
- Preferred Skills:
- • Experience in the technology or software development industry.
- • Strong technical writing experience.
- • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- • Familiarity with cloud technologies and IT system architecture documentation.
