Primary Function of Position:
Deliver significant improvements in product reliability, cost, manufacturability and capacity for robotic surgical instruments and accessories.
The OPEX Engineer is responsible for coaching other employees of ISI MX when working on continuous improvement projects. The OPEX engineer works to be a facilitator for continuous improvement at the sites and systemizes these efforts.
This position is expected to measure the success of their program and work to continuously improve them.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and operation of continuous improvement programs to optimize both productivity and business processes at the ISI Mexicali site.
- Responsible for successfully running of the Kaizen Leader program.
- Schedule of continuous improvement events.
- Support on effectively deliver training for the participants of the continuous improvement programs.
- Provide coaching on the tools that ensure the completion of continuous improvement projects that are of interest to ISI Mexicali.
- Perform processes for the validation of continuous improvement projects about completion / Control Metric and Financial.
- Present projects of continuous improvement to the Quality department to ensure compliance with the actual quality system.
- Lead the establishment and maintenance of the OpEx recognition program.
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- Experience in the position or area: at least 2 years’ experience as a Continuous Improvement (OPEX) Engineer.
- Experience with continuous improvement operating systems.
- Schooling: Professional Career.
- Other Studies: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
- Languages: English (70%).
- Systems Management: MS Office: PowerPoint (High), Excel (High) Project (Medium). SAP, Minitab, Agile.
- Have worked in the medical industry for 2 years at least (preferred).
- Continuous Improvement events, Project Management knowledge, Production lines balancing, Presentation Skills.
- Leadership, Proactive, Organized, Planning, Good Communicator.
