About the Role
iCapital is looking to hire a Senior Vice President to join the iCapital Solutions team. The Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Lead will be responsible for overseeing and conducting thorough operational due diligence on prospective and current investments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of operational risks, internal controls, and industry best practices. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
Responsibilities

Lead Operational Due Diligence: Conduct and oversee comprehensive operational due diligence on investment opportunities, including site visits, interviews, and detailed analysis of operational processes.
- Conduct assessments of external fund managers, with a focus on private equity, private credit, and real assets

Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational risks associated with potential and existing investments.

Due Diligence Reports: Prepare and present detailed due diligence reports, summarizing findings and providing recommendations to the investment committee.

Monitor Investments: Monitor the operational performance of portfolio companies on a regular basis to ensure compliance with established standards and identify any emerging risks.

Collaboration: Work closely with investment teams, legal, compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to due diligence and risk management.

Industry Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operational due diligence and risk management.

Training and Development: Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in operational due diligence, risk management, internal audit, or a related field within the investment industry

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Project Management: Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
