How you will contribute to SLM's vision

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the Operations team at our well-established hub in the broader area of Paiania, Attica, which has been running successfully for over a year. Your role is to ensure the smooth running of daily operations and lead our business development. Thus, you will organize, coordinate and support all day to day operational activities. Ultimately, you will cooperate and report directly to the Director of Operations, based in Athens.

Operations Manager duties and responsibilities include overseeing all operational procedures and suggesting ways to improve the daily operational process. A successful Operations Manager is able to prioritize tasks, take initiatives and handle multiple stressful situations, to accurately manage all administrative duties.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about eCommerce and technology, and who wants to work for a company that is dedicated to creating amazing experiences for its customers.

What you will be doing

• Formulate strategic and operational objectives
• Oversee training and monitor the performance of recently appointed Skroutz Last Mile drivers
• Successfully handle in real-time any incidents that may occur during the delivery process
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures and ensure the application of existing ones
• Collaborate with members of Finance and Fleet to manage the inventory of delivery vehicles and equipment
• Liaise effectively with members of the Management team to ensure operational excellence
• Encourage and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

Your Skills & Experience

Experience

• Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or a similar role
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Experience in planning and managing projects and contributing to product innovation
• Experience in high growth & scale environments
• Experience in analyzing and maintaining operational data
• BSc in Management or relevant field

• Hands-on mentality and proactive approach
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
