The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide medical oversight and ensure the safety and well-being of study participants at the site location. Responsibilities include supervising medical assistants, collecting medical histories, monitoring vital signs, and overseeing the overall medical procedures during research sessions.
Role Responsibilities:
- Supervise and collaborate with medical assistants to collect participants' medical histories and monitor blood pressure data.
- Perform initial health assessments, including reviewing Physical Activity Readiness forms and conducting vital sign checks (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate).
- Monitor participants' vitals throughout the study session and ensure their safety during research activities.
- Provide advanced medical oversight at the site location, ensuring all medical protocols are adhered to.
- Respond to any medical emergencies and provide advanced care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Provide guidance and training to staff regarding safety procedures and health assessments.
