Under the direction of the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations / Director of Plant Operations and through cross-functional interaction with other functional support managers has responsibility for the tactical operations of the plant's production quality service goals and objectives. In some locations may have responsibility for the plant's mailroom teams. This position has responsibility for leading the digital teams following High-Performance leadership behaviors ensuring compliance with both manufacturing and non-manufacturing policies production targets and quality standards, and forecasting labor and facilities requirements. You would be responsible for directing the production and distribution of products. Implements and sustains process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies.
Improve manufacturing cycle time and productivity while reducing total waste errors and manufacturing costs of the check manufacturing plants. Sets objectives tracks results and plans strategies to meet or exceed operational objectives. This position manages the training motivation and evaluation of production team members in the plant. Works with manufacturing leaders in other Harland Clarke plants to ensure consistency in manufacturing processes and procedures.
Represents the plant in the absence of the Vice President of Operations/Director of Plant Operations.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 with a 10% Management Bonus.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
Communication with all Plant personnel internal/external customers and vendors. Represents plant on company level manufacturing and project teams.
Frequent contact with the VP of Manufacturing and the VP of Engineering.
DECISION MAKING
Succession Planning Employee Relations Production Scheduling actions to satisfy customer requirements quality reporting staffing technology process improvement and technology changes.
OTHER
Supervisory Responsibilities: Team Leaders (typically 3 - 6 leaders) and hourly employees.
