Solestial, Inc. is the solar energy company for space.  Solestial’s core technology is a breakthrough ultra-thin silicon solar cell that can self-cure radiation damage at normal operating temperatures in space, packaged in a flexible, lightweight panel designed to achieve minimum degradation for up to 10 years in LEO.  Solestial panels can be mass-produced using automated machines resulting in costs 90% lower than incumbent technologies, with virtually unlimited manufacturing capacity.  From today’s satellite constellations and research projects to tomorrow’s utility-scale energy infrastructure and services in space, Solestial is powering the new space economy.


The Role:

As the Office Manager you'll be the go-to person for ensuring our office operations are smooth and efficient. From organizing team events to making sure supplies never run dry, you'll be the go-to person for everything that keeps our office fun, efficient, and stress-free. Responsibilities:

  • Office Operations: Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a productive and organized work environment. Manage office supplies, equipment, and maintenance.
  • Vendor Relations: Liaise with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and managing their work.
  • Facilities Support: Coordinate with Facility Manager for office maintenance and any necessary repairs or improvements. 
  • HR Support: Coordinate with HR to help the onboarding process of new Solestians by managing building access, office equipment, headshots, and welcome emails for new employees.
  • Shipping & Logistics Coordination: Arrange and manage all incoming shipments, oversee international brokerage, ensure proper documentation for shipping and customs release, and maintain accurate shipment tracking.
  • Purchasing & Order Management: Oversee purchase orders (POs), manage invoices, track supply orders, maintain suspense reports, and coordinate shipping arrangements to ensure timely delivery.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of office events and team meetings, ensuring all logistics, including venue booking, catering, and materials, are organized and managed effectively.
  • Technology Support: Serve as a liaison with IT support for office-related technology needs. Coordinate repairs or upgrades and manage inventory of IT assets.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in office management or related roles
  • A high sense of urgency, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptionally adaptable and able to handle changing priorities and tasks.
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to office operations, facilities, or staff.
  • Proficiency with common office software
