The role

This is an opportunity for you to develop your skills in project management, your ability to drive your own workload, build relationships across the company and to use your creativity for the benefit of the team. 

As Office Manager no day will look the same as the next so it is important that you enjoy being flexible and find it easy to re-prioritize your to-do list at any time and several times a day. As you get the hang of things, proactiveness will be your best friend to make sure you stay on top of things and don’t lose the level of quality when you have a hectic day full of ad-hoc tasks. 

In the role you will collaborate with the whole UK team, people team and IT team, you will be in touch with a lot of people so it is important that you have a friendly and positive attitude. In this role, you need to be self-motivated and organised in your work because this role has mostly an individual character.


YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide personal assistance to the General Manager UK
  • Ensure smooth daily office operations, including ordering supplies and managing office facilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for UK employees regarding internal HR administration
  • Coordinate various events such as Taxi awards, Xmas parties, leaving drinks, and sports days
  • Maintain up-to-date health and safety policies and ensure compliance
  • Assist the finance department with invoice processes
  • Manage office records, both online and in paper format
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees and coordinate with managers
  • Oversee IT equipment processes, including setup for new starters and equipment maintenance
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring it reaches the appropriate recipients and departments

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in office software packages (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and manage workload effectively
  • Demonstrated teamwork and supervisory abilities
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads with a problem-solving attitude
  • Project-management skills with knowledge of employment, equality, diversity, and data protection legislation (advantageous)
  • Availability to work 100% from the office, part-time contract for 3 days a week Tuesday-Thursday
