We are currently recruiting for an office manager on a fixed term contract basis for 18 months. The office manager will help to create that vital first impression for any callers or visitors (internal or external) to the Power Station. You must be well-organised, resourceful, professional and enthusiastic, with a keen attention to detail. You must also be willing and able to support different parts of the business with administrative and other duties as required. You will also be responsible for the operation and staff working in the Statkraft Visitor Centre in Rheidol during it´s opening season
As Office Manager, you will often be the first point of call for both external and internal enquiries, so, in order to enjoy your job, you will need to enjoy supporting and helping others. You will also play a big part in setting the tone of the office, so we’re looking for someone who will project a positive image and be influential in fostering a strong and inclusive office culture, working in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment.
As Office Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Administration of the Rheidol office including but not limited to post, deliveries, telephone, stationary orders, organising of facilities
- Preparation of meeting agendas, taking minutes of meetings when required
- Organisation of training for all staff and monitoring training status of all staff
- Organising team events when required including team building, Christmas parties, safety days
- Managing the fleet of vehicles at Rheidol Power Station including appointments for servicing and MOTs. Overview of vehicle fleet outside of Rheidol across the UK & Ireland
- PA Role for VP O&M
- Coordination of business visitors in Rheidol
- Support in international cooperation in Statkraft
- Coordinating PR activities and sponsorship around Rheidol Power station and the Aberystwyth Area
- Supervising and supporting Visitor Centre activities
- Delivering training to seasonal PR staff ensuring compliance with SEL policies and procedures. Main contact for the PR team and any PR queries
- Supporting the Emergency Response Team and taking on the role as facilitator in case of emergency
- Any ad-hoc duties as and when the time may arise
- Undertaking occasional UK and international travel
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to work as part of a team and individually
