The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Office Coordinator:
The Office Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the LA28 office. This role involves managing administrative functions, supporting logistical needs, and maintaining common spaces to foster a productive and welcoming work environment.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, customer service-oriented, and professional in attitude and appearance. They will bring excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and solid written and verbal communication abilities, combined with a collaborative spirit to support the success of the team and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mail and Shipping: Coordinate collection, distribution, and shipping; manage postage purchases and process shipping invoices.
- Visitor Services: Greet and direct visitors; oversee check-in and check-out for a welcoming and secure environment.
- Office Purchasing: Manage procurement of supplies and snacks; track inventory and reconcile expense reports for executives.
- Meeting Support: Schedule and organize conference rooms; handle food and beverage orders and meeting setup/breakdown.
- Pantry and Kitchen Management: Maintain pantry organization; clean coffee machines, fridge, and microwave.
- Common Space Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and functionality of shared areas, including kitchens, copier rooms, and conference spaces.
- Parking Coordination: Manage and distribute parking validations.
- Security and Processes: Support office security and operational processes.
- Event and Special Project Support: Assist with in-office events as an extension of the Events team and support PEM special projects as needed.
Background & Qualifications:
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in office administration or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Will be required to be in the office up to 5 days per week in an open office setting
- Sitting/Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
- Lifting: Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, equipment, or event materials).
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in typing and using office equipment, including computers, printers, and phones.

The hourly range of pay for this position is $23.00-$28.00 per hour. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
