About Hillel at Binghamton:
Hillel at Binghamton is located in the Student Union at Binghamton University in the Southern Tier of New York. With more than 4,000 Jewish students on a campus of 18,000 students, Hillel at Binghamton is home to passionate, driven, and hardworking students who will impress you the moment you set foot on campus. Year after year, the students, with the help of dedicated staff, work towards the Hillel mission and vision to provide a pluralistic Jewish hub to Jewish students who call Binghamton home. Hillel at Binghamton encompasses 15 student-run subgroups. From Challah for Hunger to Keshet, the LGBTQ+ group, to Bearcats for Israel, and Shoah Awareness, Hillel’s diverse offerings ensure students can live a holistic Jewish life while in college. Hillel at Binghamton has created long-lasting partnerships with the Judaic studies department, Israel Studies department, the Jewish Community Center, Chabad, and local synagogues of all denominations.
In 1923, Rabbi Benjamin Frankel started Hillel with humble means, a noble mission and a breathtaking vision: to convey Jewish civilization to a new generation. Today, Hillel International continues to enrich the lives of Jewish students and is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world at nearly 1,000 colleges and universities across North America and around the world. As Hillel evolves as an organization, the mission remains steadfast: to create lasting connections with every Jewish student that foster an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel and train them to become the next Jewish leaders.
Hillel is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an accepting and inclusive environment for all.
