Annex A – Special Terms and Conditions
The contractor will be responsible for complying with the respective national requirements for working permits, visas, taxes, social security etc. whilst working on site at NATO HQ Brussels, Belgium.
No special status is either conferred or implied by the host organisation, NATO HQ Brussels, Belgium to the contractor whilst working on site.
The contractor will be responsible for complying with all the respective National Health COVID-19 regulations in Belgium before taking up the position.
1. INTRODUCTION
The NATO Chief Information Officer (CIO) brings Information and Communications Technology (ICT) coherence across NATO Enterprise’s civil and military bodies. The NATO CIO is empowered to realize the Allies’ vision for the NATO Enterprise, is accountable to the Secretary General and is responsible for the development of Enterprise directives and advice on the acquisition and use of information technologies and services. The NATO CIO provides Enterprise oversight on cybersecurity issues, and, in close coordination with all relevan NATO civil and military bodies, works towards the continual improvement of the cyber hygiene and cybersecurity posture in the NATO Enterprise.
Effective information management is essential for the OCIO’s mission of ensuring coherence and security in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) across the NATO Enterprise.
The incumbent will support the OCIO Front Office for efficiently Information Knowledge Management in order to ensure the smooth operation of the Office.

3. LOCATION OF DUTY
The work will be executed at the NATO HQ offices in Brussels, Belgium. The contractor is expected to work Full Time on-site 5 days a week (a limited amount of teleworking might be granted).
4. TIMELINES
The services of the contractor are required for the period starting 2 January 2025 until 31 December 2025.
A contract extension might be granted for the calendar year 2026. Future contract extensions are subject to performance of the contractor, available budget and related NATO regulations.
5. SPECIFIC WORKING CONDITIONS
Secure environment in an open space area with standard working hours.
6. TRAVEL
Occasional business travel may be required. Travel expenses to be reimbursed by NATO in addition to the hourly rate. The amounts for travel and per-diem costs incurred by the Contractor’s personnel performing official missions to locations other than Brussels or the Contractor’s Home Office, if the work at such location was authorised by NATO Service Manager, must be documented with the corresponding NATO Service Manager’s travel authorization and the travel tickets and receipts. Amounts will be reimbursed according to NATO Travel on Duty (TDY) cost limitation and standards, outside of this order.
7. SECURITY AND NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT
