Base salary: $60,000 – 65,000 annual salary (USD) with potential for generous performance bonus as determined by the Haiti Mama Board of Directors.

Our flagship initiative, The Mama Box—a quarterly subscription box showcasing handmade goods from Haitian artisans—drives employment opportunities and furthers our mission to transform lives in Haiti.
Position Summary:
Haiti Mama is seeking a passionate, mission-driven individual to serve as the primary spokesperson for the role of Non-Profit Development/E-Commerce Product Manager of Haiti Mama and The Mama Box. And, within this non-people leader role, this dynamic leader will spearhead fundraising efforts, manage The Mama Box’s day-to-day operations, and focus on creating sustainable income streams to support Haiti Mama’s programs. This full-time hybrid position, based in New Orleans, will play a pivotal role in organizational growth, boosting financial support, enhancing donor engagement, and managing all aspects of The Mama Box’s subscriptions and sales. Our ambitious target is to reach 9,700 box shipments annually by 2027.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Communications & Outreach
- Serve as Haiti Mama’s primary spokesperson, effectively articulating the organization’s vision, values, and impact while capitalizing on PR opportunities.
- Oversee marketing and public relations strategies, including social media content creation, community partnerships, and media engagement, to increase brand visibility.
- Develop and sustain strategic partnerships to enhance Haiti Mama’s reach and success.
Fundraising & Stakeholder Engagement
- Create and implement comprehensive fundraising plans encompassing grant writing, donor engagement, and corporate partnerships to support Haiti Mama’s programs.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders, representing Haiti Mama with authenticity and enthusiasm.
- Organize and lead impactful online and in-person fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to increase financial support and awareness of Haiti Mama’s mission.
- Oversee all aspects of The Mama Box operations, including curation of themes, sourcing handmade goods from Haitian artisans, inventory management, branding, packaging, and distribution.
- Ensure the financial stability and profitability of The Mama Box through thoughtful budgeting and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with Haitian artisans and partner organizations to ensure ethical production practices and meaningful job creation.
- Utilize various software platforms to manage product subscriptions and shipping logistics.
- Handle customer communications, addressing billing and shipment concerns promptly and professionally.
- Develop, create content for and implement creative marketing strategies to grow subscriptions, drive sales, and boost brand recognition through social media campaigns, email outreach, and strategic partnerships.
- Analyze sales performance and customer feedback to refine marketing and operational strategies for customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Build and nurture relationships with businesses to promote and sell corporate gifting solutions, broadening the reach and impact of The Mama Box.
- Research and pursue additional revenue-generating opportunities for The Mama Box.
