NLP/gen-AI Senior Data Scientist

Full-Time

As a NLP/gen-AI Senior Data Scientist at Sportradar, you will work with world leading experts to design and develop data-driven sport products and services.

You will explore large collections of sport data, focusing on the development of generative and predictive models aimed at improving sport fans engagement. You will work closely with product owners and technical leads in our Betting Entertainment Tools product vertical.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in machine learning and natural language processing, be comfortable working with big datasets, will understand methods for rigid validation of results, and has hands-on experience working with large language models and related frameworks.

 

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Develop predictive models or LLMs-powered applications for use in our sports-related products and services
  • Rigorously validate methods, models, algorithms and hypotheses using back-testing on historical data and/or simulations
  • Propose new ways of using data to improve our products and services
  • Able to combine data from different sources (external and internal) and formats to create meaningful insights or content
  • Work closely with product owners and technical leads in our Betting Entertainment Tools product vertical
  • Present ideas and prototypes to software developers and business stakeholders in a clear and understandable way

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Demonstrated competency in the following areas: machine learning and/or statistics, efficiently working with big data, statistical validation of results.

  • Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with best practises in software development.

  • Good knowledge of SQL.

  • Experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning of language models.

  • Bonus: Experience with developing LLM-powered applications and using related frameworks such as LangChain or LLamaIndex

  • Bonus: Experience with development in Java.

  • Bonus: Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (Flink, Spark) and/or cloud solutions (AWS S3, Redshift, Athena).

  • Will to stay up-to-date with trends and advancements in the sphere of generative AI and large language models.

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • Passionate about sport.

  • Autonomous, rigorous, creative and a team player.
