NineStar Connect is seeking a motivated Operations Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our Electric Line crew, ensuring the smooth continuity of line service, inventory, and construction functions to meet the cooperatives objectives. This is a Bargaining Unit position. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Assist the Purchasing Coordinator with warehouse duties, deliveries, documentation, planning and organization of inventory, and planned jobs. 
  • Assist our Electric Line crew with operating various vehicles such as a Skid Steer, Bucket Truck, Digger Truck, Forklift, and various trailers.
  • Attend all job training, safety and specialized training as required.
  • Record necessary information on time sheets, work orders and any other source documents.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Indiana Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement (or can obtain one within 6 months)
  • Possess strong reading, writing, and math skills
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively address member inquiries
  • Quick learner and can grasp system geography efficiently
  • Can work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Comfortable reading basic schematics and drawings
  • Proficient in operating a variety of vehicles

Operations policy states all trades and crafts employees who are subject to “call-in” duty must reside (bonafide residence) within the perimeters of NineStar service territory. (15 miles radius from 2243 E Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140)
