Your Mission

As a QC Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of NGS experiments by conducting quality control tests. The QC Lab Technician prepares all types of analysis for Quality Control of SOPHiA GENETICS Bundled solutions, and contributes to Laboratory management ensuring compliance. 

The value you add:

  • Prepare NGS libraries for QC activities 
  • Performing sample preparation for NGS experiments, including DNA and RNA extraction, quantification, and quality assessment.  
  • Collaborating with other team members and other departments to troubleshoot and help solving technical issues related to quality control. 
  • Assisting in the ongoing development and optimization of quality control protocols and SOPs. 
  • Document experiments on electronic lab book (e.g. Slims, Jira...) 
  • Maintaining compliance with laboratory safety and quality control standards such laboratory equipment management 

Requirements

  • CFC, BA, MSc degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry etc) 
  • Minimum 2 Years experience within a molecular biology laboratory ideally utilising NGS Techniques. 
  • Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment, such as pipettes, centrifuges, and thermal cyclers. 
  • Working experience within a lab quality function highly beneficial, with knowledge of SOPs and quality control protocols 
  • Familiarity with NGS library preparation protocols and sequencing technologies.
