Projects description:Join an innovative German fintech company at the forefront of the industry, offering cutting-edge financial services through their API under an e-money license. As principal members of a leading global payment network, they have a proven track record in successfully managing card programs for several years and are widely recognized as a cloud-native Banking-as-a-Service platform. In this role, you will:

  • Develop microservices using the Rust programming language, with a focus on meeting the unique requirements of regulated environments.
  • Implement crucial security features and auditing functionalities within the services.
  • Debug distributed services to ensure seamless operation and unwavering reliability.
  • Establish comprehensive automated testing procedures to uphold the quality and stability of the services.
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers to configure build pipelines and seamlessly integrate the developed services into the cloud environment.
  • Work alongside Q/A Engineers to integrate existing tests and create new ones, ensuring rigorous testing protocols are maintained.
  • Craft developer-friendly documentation to facilitate understanding and usage of the services.
  • Engage in continuous evaluation and enhancement of existing approaches, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the development processes.

First, check if you have:
  • A degree in computer science or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in developing distributed systems, preferably in a regulated sector such as finance.
  • Alternatively, four or more years of experience in building distributed transactional systems.
  • Proficiency in Rust. Alternatively, strong expertise in C++, Java, Go, or C#, provided there is a keen interest in learning Rust.
  • Additionally, familiarity with programming languages like C++, Python, and TypeScript would be advantageous.
  • Background in working with Linux environments, as well as a proven track record in testing and debugging distributed systems.
  • Practical experience in setting up build pipelines and comprehensive testing frameworks is required.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as SCRUM or SAFe for effective collaboration within the team.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English (B2+).
Bonus points for... Nice to haves:
  • Knowledge or experience in IT security would be a plus.
