About the team

You will be responsible for leading the New Hire Experience team of program managers, facilitators, and coordinators across the United States, Ireland and India. The team is responsible for creating effective and enjoyable new hire experiences at Stripe, which includes delivering a structured, comprehensive, and culturally-aligned onboarding experience that fosters a sense of connection and facilitates a rapid ramp to productivity for new hires.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for designing, implementing, and improving Stripe's global new hire onboarding experience. 
  • Ensure the new hire experience meets Stripe's strategic objectives, operational efficiency targets, and new hire experience goals.
  • Use metrics and data to guide the team in identifying themes and areas for improvement. 
  • Work with the team and partners to continuously iterate the program for maximum efficacy and impact as the data evolves.
  • Evaluate and improve the efficiency of the program's current tools, processes, and partnerships. Help build new workflows to scale the program.
  • Act as a decision-maker for more complex programmatic changes.
  • Facilitate portions of the onboarding program live, along with facilitators, other volunteers, and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Own and foster positive partnership experiences with key stakeholders. 
  • Support and partner with a variety of users across the organization, such as company leadership, corporate technology, workplace, recruiting, and people development.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, building effective solutions that scale.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a global learning and development or new hire experience team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advanced project or program management capabilities, including incredible organizational skills; superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to shift priorities based on the current business needs and to make progress in a timely manner on multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Operational mindset with the ability to set the program’s long range strategic plans, and translate them into functional daily processes.

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience leveraging technology to curate and deliver high-impact learning.
  • Strong virtual and in-person facilitation experience.
  • Ability to build and document tools, processes, workflows, and guides for stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with some of our core tools: MailMerge, Workday, Intellum.
