New England Finance Associate

The New England Finance Associate position will assist the New England finance team with planning and executing a fundraising plan for major donors in the New England Region of the United States including Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. 

This position is based in Washington, DC or Boston, MA. The New England Finance Associate will manage regional scheduling, database management, and assist with donor prospecting and outreach as appropriate. The New England Finance Associate will report to the New England Finance Director and assist the New England Deputy Finance Director on a daily basis.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

  • Manage a regional schedule and trip calendar for meetings and events with internal and external principals.
  • Write briefing materials for internal and external meetings.
  • Develop meeting agendas and update weekly reports.
  • Facilitate vetting processes for donors, surrogates, and event venues.
  • Manage regional donor databases and lists.
  • Oversee regional call time and email blasts.
  • Travel and staff surrogates at DNC meetings and events as needed.
  • Support the New England Finance Director and New England Deputy with administrative and writing tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal DNC departments on behalf of the regional team. 
  • Assist with donor prospecting, outreach, and maintenance as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Previous committee, government, nonprofit, or campaign experience.
  • Previous experience using NGP is highly preferred.

Travel: The New England Finance Associate position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.

Salary: The starting salary for the New England Finance Associate position is $51,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.  This is a non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
