Writing proposals and pitching for new business takes up a lot of our time at DXI EMEA. Being part of Edelman, as well as having an independent presence in the Data, Insights and Intelligence industry means that briefs come from a huge variety of different places. The variety of markets we work in, means that a brief could come from the UK, France, Germany, Spain or Italy, and a large proportion from the Middle East – UAE, Abu Dhabi or Saudi. We are a $16Mill+ business, diversified across large global clients, regional clients, and local clients, across sectors (Health, Tech, Food & Bev, Energy) and types of work (Brand, Corporate, Public Affairs, Financial). We work across primary research (qual, quant, statistics), secondary research (media analysis, social listening, influencer work), performance marketing (paid media strategy and buying, analytics, and SEO). We are super users of Edelman’s AI-powered platforms to bring Trust intelligence to our clients.
We are creating a new role, to take the first step in proposals, which other team members can then continue on from. We believe that it will bring a huge amount of consistency to how we show up, having a central hub of knowledge from which to start a proposal from, which then taps into the huge variety of skill sets we have under one roof at DXI EMEA. You will be part of an engaging, fast-paced environment, working with a dynamic and international team. You will work across the team – with the full breadth of data capabilities and skills we have here, and across all six markets in EMEA.
There are several different types of experience we feel might be suited to this role (but we’d love to hear from you if you have experience in a way we haven’t thought of!). For example, a route of a previous new business role (in a broad range of disciplines – from marketing, advertising, comms, digital or creative agency etc.) would be suitable. Or alternatively someone wishing to focus in this area coming from a research, insights, data or intelligence role.
A role of this type exists in DXI US, and we’re looking to replicate it in DXI EMEA, which also means you would have a connection point to share learnings, experiences and development opportunities with. We also work closely with the wider Edelman EMEA new business team, which provides another point of connection.
Key Responsibilities:
-
RFI responses : Leading on RFI answers, often asking for standard information on the business and what we do.
-
RFP / Proposal writing: Creating the structure and template of large and medium sized proposals, ready to pass onto the DXI EMEA team members to complete the rest of the proposal

-
Knowledge management: Managing our contributions to the ‘New Biz hub’ on the global DXI knowledge management platform; Sourcing materials for proposals – one-page solutions overviews, capabilities slides, case studies etc.; Centralising case study knowledge, to be a hub of what previous work we can talk about to demonstrate our expertise in different areas
Candidate Expectations:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- High level of organisational skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- An outgoing, ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks
