At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our UniQue team in La Valletta, Malta!
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Manage network topologies and cabling.
- Administration of firewal and their configuration.
- Administration of periodic firmware and software upgrades of network infrastructure.
- Monitor network infrastructure performance.
- Automate process using scripting and/or infrastructure as a code where possible.
- Write/Update/Review documentation and technical specifications related to infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Identify hardware, software and network problems and propose solutions.
- Perform regular maintenance on hardware, network, and software components.
- Communicate effectively with end users and ICT team.
- Administration of reverse proxy and load balancer equipment services.
Additional non-mandatory tasks could be:
- Take part in designing and implementing solutions for replication & disaster recovery.
- Utilize configuration management frameworks.
- Implement infrastructure as a code.
- Operate and support network equipment.
- Implementation of software defined networking.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum 10 years of IT relevant professional experience
- System architecture design
- Systems and cloud resources engineering
- Service Delivery
- Problem Management
- Process improvement
- Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Minimum B2 Level Proficiency in English language
