Description:

  • We are seeking a Network Specialist (Connectivity Specialist) to join our global Technical Support team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Jenbacher Gas Engines customers by managing their asset integrations with our MyPlant Application Performance Monitoring (APM) system.

Your tasks:

  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance to customers and field technicians during the asset connection process, ensuring seamless integration with the MyPlant APM system.
  • Connection Monitoring: Continuously monitor the status of engine connections on the MyPlant APM to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Proactive Troubleshooting: Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve connection issues, including agent updates, Windows server and firewall configurations, and offline engines not transmitting data.
  • MyPlant Administration: Support the administration of MyPlant by managing users and assets, onboarding new customers, and configuring accounts.
  • On-Site Support: Conduct on-site troubleshooting for customers experiencing connection issues, dedicating approximately 20-30% of the time to fieldwork for practical problem resolution.

Your profile:

  • Expertise in Networking and Databases: Advanced knowledge of networks (min. Level 1 support), including firewalls, communication protocols, and routing, complemented by hands-on experience with databases.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Customer-Focused Approach: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to address the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Sense of Urgency: A proactive attitude and commitment to resolving customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Prioritization and Resilience: Ability to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks, and perform well under pressure.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team environment and drive results through collaboration.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional language is an asset.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally (10%) to support the successful execution of projects.
