We are currently recruiting an experienced Networks Infrastructure Analyst to join our team! This is a great time to join our IT division and play a key role in the delivery of various projects to improve and update our network infrastructure. You will bring a strong technical knowledge of data networking and monitoring with experience of supporting 500+ users.

Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive, efficient and secure voice and data network infrastructure, telecommunications and ICT service
- Implement, maintain, administrate and support the LAN & WAN network infrastructure and telecommunications infrastructure. Including firewalls, internet content filters, wireless networking, monitoring systems and remote communication facilities.
- Ensure secure and efficient implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the Incommunities CCTV wide area networks.
- Responsible for the production and maintenance of comprehensive system build and configuration documentation for all network voice and data-based software and hardware solutions.
- Be responsible for the backup procedures of all network infrastructure and regular testing of backup routines ensuring at all times the resiliency of Incommunities voice and data infrastructure.
- Produce and update an annually tested Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan for voice and data networked systems.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on new developments / modules / systems that require integration into Incommunities existing software and hardware environment.
- Have significant input into writing and enforcing Incommunities ICT security policies.
- Maintain an up-to-date technical knowledge ensuring a broad understanding of the latest technologies.
- Work closely with the Development Team and Business Intelligence team to provide management information and voice and data API integration.
- Promote and enhance a positive image for Incommunities and the Department of ICT.
- Work in an efficient, high-pressure section managing tight timescales and provide out of hours support and deadlines and assist operational units to evaluate and deploy new technology and techniques and to implement appropriate ICT policies and strategies.
- Take management of technical projects including indirect management of Incommunities staff working on development, implementation and maintenance of technology-based systems.
- Deputise for the ICT Security and Communications Manager as necessary.
- Lead high-profile projects critical to the success of Incommunities.
- Manage their own workload and timescales dealing efficiently with any conflict that may arise in the scheduling of their work.
- Work closely and professionally with other ICT colleagues to facilitate the secure use of voice and data network systems and facilities.
- Work closely with and manage delivery by external partners and agencies delivering service level agreements to Incommunities.
- Ensure that changes integrate effectively with other ICT systems in particular Incommunities applications and network.
- Undertake research into complex ICT systems and environments.
- Monitor ICT developments and practices; attend external meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops to keep up to date with ICT developments and the implications for Incommunities.
Requirements
- Experience in an ICT support role which includes the direct support and maintenance of a data network infrastructure and/or VoIP telephony switch.
- Understanding of layer 2/3 networks and the TCP/IP model
- In-depth knowledge of data networking, VoIP and network security technologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of the TCP/IP model and other networking protocols.
- Formal training / education in data networking.
- Should be able to demonstrate recent and continuing professional and personal self-development including equal opportunities.
- Strong technical knowledge in the area of data networking and monitoring.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VPNs and other common networking protocols.
- Experience of working in an ICT Infrastructure environment supporting 500+ users.
