We are looking for a Network Engineer (local contract) to join our BPCE IT business Unit.

Within the Cœur Réseau department, the AFD (Administration des Fabrics Datacenter) team works on the Lan and Man infrastructures of Groupe BPCE's Datacenters in France and Europe.

The AFD team participates in the management of the Man network infrastructures interconnecting the Datacenters, the legacy Lan infrastructures, Cisco/ACI and Arista/MP-BGP Evpn, the Datacenters, the network layer of the group's private Cloud and the network infrastructure interconnecting the group to the Internet in Europe.

The team develops and supports network automation in infrastructure as a service mode.

The AFD team will eventually comprise 9 in-house staff in Porto.

Key figures

- 4 main data centers in France

- 3 data centers in the group's subsidiaries in Europe

- 2,400 switches and routers

- 70,000 physical and virtual servers (70% in private Cloud).

- Multiple interconnections to the Internet at 3 data centers - 20 Gbps traffic on average

The Network Engineer, will be involved in managing network production with the aim of maintaining an impeccable level of service:

Missions:

- Ensure network supervision using our monitoring tools

- Handle production incidents as quickly as possible

- Carry out routine network configuration requests: vlan creation, configuration changes, adding switches to fabrics, etc.

- Support the systems and applications teams in deploying their infrastructures on the network

- Deploying the switches needed to connect server infrastructures

- Participating in the development of automation processes

- Participate in standby, on-call and night and weekend interventions

Main Technical Requirements:

- Strong technical knowledge: Spanning Tree, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP Evpn, Multicast, Cisco ACI, Cisco/Arista CLI

- Experience of network architectures with several thousand devices

- Knowledge of virtualised environments, in particular NSX

- Experience of automation and/or programming languages such as Ansible or Python

- Fluent English to communicate with international teams

Other Requirements:

- You're passionate about network technologies and like to immerse yourself in the technical side of things

- You have experience as a network administrator and you know how to pass on your skills

- You know how to take a step back from your technical environment, identify improvements to be made and are able to explain and implement them

- You have worked on large network architectures in an environment subject to major operational constraints: dealing room, remote banking, electronic banking, call centers, etc.
