Our client, a leading enterprise in Hong Kong, is seeking a Network Engineer/Specialist to design, support and maintain their networking infrastructure.
What you will do:
- To provide technical advice and expertise in design and support of large-scale corporate network infrastructure, including enterprise grade switches, routers, load balancers and monitoring tools.
- To monitor and supervise day-to-day support and troubleshooting and operations activities in network infrastructure.
- To develop, maintain and review technical standards, policies and procedures of network infrastructure.
- To work independently on evaluating, testing, installing, configuring and deploying hardware, software, firmware updates of network infrastructure devices.
- To take the primary role in evaluating, developing and implementing new technologies and solutions to meet new business requirements.
- To provide guidance, instructions and advice to team members to build the knowledge base.
- To prepare accurate network documentation and reporting.
What you will need:
- Degree holder in Electronics / Computer Engineering, IT or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in providing technical support of large-scale network administration and support.
- Certification in networking discipline such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE is preferred.
- Expert knowledge in large scale network infrastructure / technology including TCP/ IP, TACACS+/ Radius, OSPF and BGP.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting of switch, router and wireless equipment, load balancer and network monitoring tools from common vendors, such as Cisco, Dell, F5, etc.
- Knowledge of modern OS, such as Linux, Windows and VMware are an advantage.
- Knowledge of scripting for automating network equipment administration and reporting is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical skills and work under pressure.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
