CityFibre is hiring a

Network Enablement Lead

Leicester, United Kingdom
Full-Time

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Network Enablement Lead

As our Network Enablement Lead, you will play a crucial role in resolving failed fibre installations across the Midlands region, ensuring network integrity, and supporting both on-site and desktop surveys. You will provide solutions in line with CityFibre guidelines and help reduce LOC (Limits of Construction). In this role, you will manage technical queries, liaise with local authorities, and drive regional continuous improvement initiatives. You will also have delegated authority to make on-the-ground decisions that support efficient delivery.

You’ll receive a salary of up to £44,000, a car allowance, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Providing on-site and desktop support for failed installs and legacy network performance issues, with a target of resolving approximately 40k RFT fails per year.
  • Supporting LOC reduction efforts to close the RFS (Ready for Service) gap and meet the business target of <5% LOC.
  • Liaising with local authorities to minimise blockers and shorten programme build times.
  • Acting as the primary contact for technical, civil engineering, NRSWA, CDM, PIA, and fibre queries from build partners.
  • Leading regional improvement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing targeted audits and light testing for repetitive failures.

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll bring excellent communication skills, particularly in concise written reporting, and a strong background in telecoms networks. You’ll also have:

  • In-depth experience with Telecoms Network Builds and CityFibre architecture
  • Awareness of CDM regulations
  • Valid NRSWA Supervisor Units 1, 10-16 certification
  • PIA SA001 and SA002 Accreditations
